Cheyenne vs. The Water...

While we visited my parents for the 4th of July weekend, Cheyenne stayed with our friend Lisa. She has a Pitt Bull named Harley that is Cheyenne's BFF or boyfriend... we aren't exactly sure. The love to play and chase each other, so we know Cheyenne is happy when she gets to have a sleep-over at Lisa's.

Lisa took them to Barton Springs for a fun day of cool water and splashing around with other dogs and people. Jason and I haven't ever taken Cheyenne around water before, so we weren't sure how she would do. Lisa took some great pictures of Cheyenne checking things out.

She was apparently very apprehensive at first... she would only get her feet wet. Lisa and her friends went to the other side of the water and Lisa said Chey spent a lot of time pacing around the water's edge trying to find a "dry route" to them!


Eventually Lisa put Cheyenne's leash on her and lead her out in the water and she was totally fine! She just needed a little encouragement. Lisa said, however, that Chey wouldn't go out into the water voluntarily unless they were in there! She did have fun with the other dogs though.

Cheyenne always comes home happy but sleepy...

We will definitely take her out there more often. I think she would really like it! Tucker, on the other hand, would just be more interested in sniffing all the smells.
