After a good night's sleep in the New Hampshire condo, we got an early start so we could get a hike in before heading back to Boston. We drove to a favorite hiking trail of Mike & Kara's- the Welch-Dickey Trail. It was a humid day but really nice for hiking and we were surrounded by beautiful foliage.
Unfortunately, about half way up, I turned my knee and it was hurt (in fact, it still bothers me... I am in denial about it). So, I opted to find a nice rock and hang out while the rest went along without me. I really didn't want Brad to miss the view at the top of the hike. It was supposed to be extraordinary. Even though I am sad I missed that, I really enjoyed my time alone. It was very peaceful with only the sound of a nearby stream and the sun had started peeking through the trees. I actually took some time to pray and be thankful for God's creation around me. It was nice. Then I decided to play around with the timer on my camera and get some self-portraits!
After a little while I was re-joined by my friends and they shared their pictures of what they saw on top. It was beautiful...
Then we hustled down the hill to get loaded up and make our way back towards Boston. We had a date with The Green Monster!!! We pushed it a bit too much and actually missed the first part of the game. However, we were having fun enjoying the sights and smells that make up Fenway Park. Now, I am not typically a hot dog fan, but oh - my - goodness.... the Fenway Frank is the BEST hot dog I have ever had. I admit it... I had to have a second one and to this day I still dream about them.

Fenway Frank #1... yumm!!!! |
Yes- we had to get a picture with Wally too! |
Dad's are great for a ride through Yawkey Way! |
After we got our hot dogs and found our seats we enjoyed the rest of the game.
Not only was this my first Sox game and Brad's but it was also Dylan's!! His Dad even bought him his own #1 Fan Finger! (To which Brad stated, "I can't believe you gave your kid the finger.") Despite all the fun going on around him, Dylan had already had a very full day and just couldn't make it through the rest of the game...
As if we hadn't packed in enough on this day, we decided to go out for dinner. We went to a very yummy hibachi restaurant. I am proud to say that "selective eater" Brad tried Edamame and liked it!
We went home full and beyond tired... and we still had another full day ahead!!
